Frequently asked questions

Can't find the answer to your question? Just email us.

Very simple. On our platform the visitor picks their tickets (and optionally add-ons such as drink cards). At checkout the visitor is redirected to Stripe, the secure payment platform that handles the payment (Bancontact or iDEAL). After that they return to our platform and can print the tickets immediately. The same tickets are also sent by email with the QR codes attached. Payment not completed after 10 minutes? The system sends a single friendly reminder email with the direct payment link so the visitor can still complete the purchase.

You only pay €0.20 per online ticket sold — no setup fee, no subscription. Tickets you sell yourself in cash mode (box office at the door, presale in your venue or via board members) are 100% free — not a cent goes to us. Want an exact calculation for your situation? Use our cost simulator — you immediately see what it costs and how we compare to other ticketing platforms.

Stripe pays the revenue straight into your own bank account — we never sit in the money flow, you stay in control. This does require a short Stripe onboarding (KYC: a few details about your organisation and bank account). Don't worry: it's simple and we guide you through it step by step. On every payment, Stripe automatically deducts its transaction costs as well as our share (€0.20 per online ticket). After your last date you close the event and receive the invoice for all costs — already settled, so no extra bill.

No installation required. Log in to AnyTicket on your smartphone, go to your event and launch the scan app from there — works out of the box on all modern smartphones with a camera. You can scan with multiple people simultaneously at different doors, and centrally monitor the scans on an iPad or laptop if you wish. Internet is required, but that shouldn't be an issue these days.

Pretty complex. The Sportpaleis won't work, but we've already drawn halls with tables, balconies and separate zones. Yes, you can do it all yourself — we have a complete design studio where you can lay out your seating plan nicely: seats, rows, tables, stage, entrance, colours, lines, zone labels and more. Your audience instantly recognises their usual spot. Don't feel like drawing? We're happy to make it for you based on a sketch or photo.

Stripe usually pays out automatically every two weeks to your own bank account (the frequency can be changed in your Stripe dashboard, e.g. weekly or daily). The revenue goes straight to you — we never sit in the money flow. Our share is already deducted on every payment: after your last date you only receive the invoice as confirmation, not an extra bill.

Yes, you have full control. On the production itself you can set a start date & time at which the production goes online automatically — useful if you want your communication/press release to land at an agreed moment. Until then you can show a waiting message to visitors, e.g. "Sales for the 2026-2027 season open on 15 September at 7pm." You can also put individual performances online or offline, individually or in bulk. So you can release just a preview first, or temporarily hide a sold-out performance — while the rest stays live.

Yes. You can cancel a whole order, a single ticket or a selection, and each time choose how the buyer is compensated: with a credit voucher (sent automatically by email, to be used on a next purchase), manually (you refund them yourself, in cash or by bank transfer) or without a refund (e.g. for a no-show). An automatic refund via Stripe is also possible: we enable it for you on request. We then advance the refunded amount and recover it from you afterwards through a payment link. The credit voucher remains by far the simplest option: no hassle with bank details, and the money stays with you. Cancelled tickets become invalid immediately and the seats are released.

Yes, for each performance you can download an Excel with all the details — useful for the reception desk or for accounting afterwards.

For every order you can see the status of the ticket email: sent, delivered (arrived in the mailbox) or bounced (the address doesn't exist or the mailbox is full). Delivered? Then it's probably in the spam folder. Bounced? Then there was a typo: you correct the email address and resend the tickets with one click. All other emails (discount codes, credit vouchers, subscription codes…) can be followed up in the email log.

Yes, in plenty of ways. With discount codes you choose a fixed amount or a percentage, per ticket or on the whole order, optionally limited to one ticket type or one date, with a validity period and a maximum number of uses. A code can be public or hidden (only via a link or word of mouth). Handy extras: a member discount that applies to all tickets as soon as it's entered, an automatic group discount from a certain number of tickets (no code needed), and personal codes you send to a list of email addresses in one go. For each code you see live how often it was used, by whom and for which date.

Yes. At the top of every ticket sits your own header image (logo or poster). At the bottom you can add a sponsor image. Practical detail: without a sponsor image 3 tickets fit on one A4 sheet, with a sponsor image it's 1 ticket per A4 — so your sponsor gets the attention they deserve.

By default buyers choose their seats freely, so yes. Don't want that? With single-seat prevention you set per event how strict the system is: off, a hint while choosing, or a suggestion or requirement on confirming. Optionally this also applies to a lone seat next to an aisle or wall — but only when the buyer can fix it by shifting their seats. That way no unsellable leftover seat remains.

No. No subscription, no contract, no obligations. You use the platform per event — if you skip a year that's no problem, and if you stop you owe us nothing.

Yes. For each event you can add your own text that goes into the email to the buyer — e.g. practical info, directions, parking, bar, or a personal message from the committee.

No. Each ticket has a unique QR code and can only be scanned once. On cancellation the original ticket automatically gets a new QR code, so old copies become invalid — that way you prevent fraud with forwarded or photographed tickets.

Yes. You create a season subscription as a separate subscription, with your own subscription types (price and quantity) and an end date for sales. For every event it covers, you import the subscription: each subscriber then automatically receives a personal code by email for a free ticket — including people who buy a subscription later. Subscribers can use that code to book before public sales open, so they get first pick of the seats.

Yes. After creating an account you're in demo mode: you draw your seating plan, create a event with ticket types and test the whole shop, including test payments that cost nothing. Convinced? Request activation and complete the Stripe onboarding; from then on you sell for real. A demo account stays available for about a month.

Yes, if you want to. You set a fee per ticket and/or a fixed fee per order, optionally with a threshold below which no service fee applies. It's added on top of the ticket price and only for online payments — never for box-office sales or free tickets. That way, those who buy online cover the online costs.

Yes. With early access you send a personal link to e.g. members, sponsors or volunteers: anyone with the link can book before public sales open. You decide how long the link stays valid and how many tickets can be booked with it. Subscribers get this priority automatically through their subscription code.

Yes. Per event you set one extra question (e.g. 'Dietary requirements?'), optional or required. You'll find the answers in the sales list and in the Excel export. You can also make the phone number required or optional.

No. With one click you duplicate a event: settings, ticket types, add-ons, discount codes and cashless products are copied; you only fill in the new dates. You can duplicate a seating plan too, to reuse or adjust it. A copy can first be created as a test so you can try everything safely, and outstanding credit vouchers from last season can be carried over.

In Dutch, French, English and Spanish. Buyers choose their language in the shop and receive their confirmation email and tickets in the language they ordered in.

As soon as a visitor puts tickets in their cart, they are reserved for them — 15 minutes by default, adjustable. A clear timer runs at the top of the screen so the visitor knows how much time is left. If the cart isn't checked out in time, the seats are released automatically. After clicking through to Stripe, the buyer has another 1 hour to complete the payment; if that fails too, the tickets are released again. That way seats are never blocked unnecessarily.

Yes. AnyTicket is self-service with no setup fee: you set everything up yourself in a few minutes. Would you rather have us do it? We take care of the configuration, seating plan, prices and images for €65 per event (excl. VAT). Email info@anyticket.be.

Bancontact and iDEAL. All via a secure Stripe payment page.

No, you can also create events with general-admission tickets, without a seating plan. For theatre though we recommend using a seating plan — it makes access control easier because you know exactly who sits where.

We can get you online in half an hour. We usually do this together in a Teams meeting where we set up your first production.

Yes. A box-office sale means you sell the tickets and collect the money yourself — at the door, at your venue, or in advance through committee members or a shop. You log in and open your own shop: you then see BOX OFFICE MODE with Cash as payment method. You pick seats and order like a regular buyer, but without online payment. Your seating plan stays correct, and if you enter an email address the buyer simply receives their tickets with QR code. Box-office sales are completely free: no platform fee and no service fees. Afterwards you can see per order who sold it.

As soon as payment is completed the customer receives the tickets by email within 5 minutes. For box-office sales only if an email address was provided.

Of course. You see live who bought what and who sits where (with a seating plan). The dashboard shows sales over time, per ticket type and per payment method, and the income page shows what you keep after all costs — also as a detailed PDF report. Running several events (e.g. a festival)? Combine them in one report. Every list can be exported to Excel.

For every production you get a direct link and a QR code. Place it on your own website, on your poster, in your newsletter or on flyers — visitors land straight on the right sales page. You can also use a general QR code for your webshop (overview of all running productions), or a specific QR code per event when you want to promote a single show. It can't get simpler.

Each ticket carries a QR code that you scan with our scan app. Those who use a seating plan can choose not to scan — after all you know exactly who sits where.

That's probably the most frequently asked question. The answer is the box office: for example, run a physical sales point at your venue alongside online sales, or let people call a committee member who books the tickets for them in box-office mode. You can also block seats per date, e.g. at the front for people with impaired sight or hearing or wheelchair users: nobody can pick them online, but the box office can. Unused seats can be released for online sale later.

Very reliable. The platform runs on its own, generously sized server in a European data centre. Every half hour a backup goes to a separate storage location, kept for up to two years. Every update is tested automatically before it goes live, and a monitoring system alerts us immediately if something goes wrong. Payments themselves run through Stripe, one of the most reliable payment platforms in the world. And if the connection drops during a payment, no order is lost: every payment is automatically checked afterwards.

Definitely. We plan an online meeting and set up your event together. After that we remain reachable by email for any questions.

No. Most amateur event organisers don't have a VAT number and that's perfectly fine for us. We invoice you as a factual association or non-profit — we only ask for your basic details. You don't need to give us a bank account number: your own account is configured directly with Stripe during onboarding, and the revenue automatically lands there.

On the standard layout you cannot add extra text, but you can also choose a custom design based on your own PDF template. There you can add your own text, images, logos, and even a sponsor image — this way you can fully personalize the ticket to your wishes. It's best to leave some space for the QR code and buyer information, which you can then freely position within your own design.

Yes. During the sales process you can offer add-ons (drink cards, food vouchers, programme booklets, T-shirts…). Discount codes apply to these too. Nice bonus: extra revenue with no extra work at the box office.

Yes. Create a 100% discount code: one shared code for a group (with a maximum number of uses), or personal codes that each guest receives by email. The recipient simply orders in the shop; at €0 the payment step is skipped and they get their tickets right away. You can also issue a free ticket yourself in box-office mode. Free tickets cost you nothing. Don't want the ticket to show it's complimentary? Hide the discount on the ticket.

Yes. Per ticket type you set a discount and an end date. Until that date every buyer automatically gets the lower price, optionally with an 'Early Bird' badge in the shop. After that, the regular price applies automatically.

Yes. Per date you select seats on the seating plan and block them: the public can't choose them anymore. Want to give someone such a seat after all? Book it yourself in box-office mode (as a free ticket if you like). 'Release' puts them back on sale. In the seating plan you can also mark wheelchair spaces with their own icon.

Yes. Each date can have its own title, poster and short description; the shop then shows them as a programme, with a separate card per date. Add-ons (e.g. a meal) can be linked to one specific date. And in your organisation's report you can combine the income of several events.

Yes, at no extra cost. Add as many users as you like and give each one only the permissions they need, with ready-made roles such as Scanner (scanning tickets only), Sales (box office and cancellations), Accountant (reports and costs), Cashless bar or Administrator. That way the volunteer at the door has no access to your figures.

Cashless payments at the bar

Visitors get a card or wristband with a unique QR code. At the kiosk you activate that card, optionally with a starting balance (e.g. a pre-purchased drink voucher). From then on visitors can top up themselves by scanning the QR with their own smartphone — no separate app required. At the bar, staff scan the same QR to charge. No cash, no change, no lost drink tickets.

That's up to you. You can order ready-made cards or wristbands with a QR code from us, or simply print your own stickers/badges with a QR code generated in the admin panel — for example with a cheap sticker printer. Both work exactly the same way.

At the kiosk (e.g. the entrance or an info desk) you scan the card's QR code with the cashless app to activate it. Optionally you add a starting balance right away, for example when the visitor already bought a drink voucher or top-up amount beforehand.

Yes. The visitor scans the QR code on their own card or wristband with their smartphone and lands on a secure top-up page (payment via Stripe). The balance is shown immediately on that same page — no waiting, no separate app.

Staff use the cashless app on a smartphone: select products (priced in euros or in tokens/drink tickets, your choice), then scan the customer's QR code to deduct the amount from their balance automatically. Faster than counting cash, and no mistakes with change.

No, top-ups are final: we don't offer refunds on cashless balances. The balance stays fully usable until the production or event's cashless system is closed. We also display this notice on the top-up page itself.

Yes, completely. The admin panel shows a per-production overview of all top-ups, sales, corrections and the outstanding balance across all cards — real-time and exportable.
